Oh, Give Thanks!

I’m not usually one to celebrate Thanksgiving. I grew up in Nigeria and England so Thanksgiving was never really on the radar. The closest we ever came to celebrating the American holiday, was a three hour Baptist Church service the preceding Sunday.

2015 has been different. This year, despite our various locations, my sisters and I realized we have more to be thankful for than we could possibly express. Our week long Thanksgiving began on Monday morning as we exchanged emails every single day expressing gratitude for God’s endless mercies and boundless favour.

Try focusing on only good everyday. It will help get through a lot more than than your mind could possibly fathom.

It’s two days late now, but happy Thanksgiving. You don’t need a roast turkey, a big family or a calendar date to express gratitude.

Ps: I attended my first Thanksgiving dinner at  Teju & Soji’s place. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Pps: I missed out on purchasing the Mansur Gavriel Bucket this morning. That really upset me, but it’s okay. I’ll keep my eye on Net-a Porter and hope for the best.
